Scadia Dropship Help
Questions about how Scadia Dropship: Supplier Link decides which orders to route to your supplier, and how it interacts with your Shopify inventory settings.

What happens when "Continue selling when out of stock" is enabled on a dropship variant?
When you allow overselling on a variant that's also set up for dropship through Scadia:
- If a customer orders while your shop has stock, you fulfill the order from your own inventory as normal. Scadia does not interfere.
- If a customer orders while your shop is out of stock (overselling), Scadia detects this on order creation and automatically re-routes the order to the supplier. You don't have to do anything — the customer is shipped from the supplier and a tracking email goes out.
If "Continue selling when out of stock" is disabled, customers can only order when stock is available somewhere. Shopify handles the routing natively in that case; Scadia only takes over when Shopify chose your shop location and your shop can't actually fulfill.
Scadia will never take over a fulfillment your shop can deliver itself. We respect your real inventory: if your shop location has enough stock for the order, the order stays with you. We only re-route when Shopify routed an order to your shop and there isn't real stock there to ship from.
Required scopes: the routing re-assignment uses the
write_merchant_managed_fulfillment_orders and
write_third_party_fulfillment_orders Shopify scopes. If
you installed Scadia Dropship before this feature shipped, you will be
prompted to re-authorize the app the next time you open it — this is
the standard Shopify scope-change consent flow.
